Summer camps are often associated with fun and games, but Steps to Hope's Step by Step Summer Camp is breaking the mold by offering an experience that goes beyond mere recreation. This camp serves as a means to cultivate qualities such as resilience, empathy, leadership and teamwork, all while facilitating personal growth through a blend of structured programs and exciting adventures.

Inclusivity and diversity are core principles of Step-by-Step Summer Camp, with Steps to Hope prioritizing the welcoming of campers aged 8-12 from various backgrounds and walks of life. By embracing differences and celebrating diversity, the camp fosters a culture of empathy, understanding, and acceptance, creating an environment where every camper feels valued and included.

Funded by the Cliffs at Glassy Residents Outreach, Step by Step Summer Camp is not just an opportunity for fun; it's a transformative experience that empowers youth to become tomorrow's leaders. And the best part? It's completely free of charge. Held at Steps to Hope's Community Room every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout June, the camp offered a unique opportunity for young people to engage in meaningful experiences that will shape their futures. A huge thank you to our amazing camp leaders, Marilyn Hudson, Wendi Owens, Parker Mullinax, Dorene Byars, and volunteers, Chris Mann and Evelyn Cohen for all their hard work and dedication. Your efforts have been invaluable in helping our Camp Director, Cindy Chavez, provide these children with life-long lessons and a positive influence.
